Bonbonniere

         History of Bonbonniere

The tradition of giving Bonbonniere is a very old one. Many believe that the tradition of giving each other small gifts and trinkets to celebrate birthdays, christenings and marriages was first common amongst European aristocrats.

Traditionally Bonbonniere consisted of either three or five sugarded almonds that represented happiness, health, wealth, fertility and longevity. However, over the years the giving of Bonbonniere has taken on various changes. Today one's imagination can be used to present guests with a variety of Bonbonniere ranging from favor boxes, crystal, statues, photo frames to personalised chocolate bars and glasses.

At Eliana of Adelaide we take pleasure in being able to offer you a diverse range of Bonbonniere.
